The mare walked gracefully into the meadow her coat shining in the beams of the night sky.She had left her brother to take some time from the mare hunt. She sighed and looked at her reflection the moon danced across her eyes making them shine. She walked softly through the trees and nickered looking for an answer she didn't think she would ever get. Luna wanted a stud for herself one she could love and spend her time with not her brother. She loved him but she was of the age that it was time for her to start breeding. The mare looked around now she noticed her thinking had got her lost and she stumbled to a stop. She took off running along the pond and let out a shout of fear. Her eyes grew wide with fear she had lost her brother and she dropped to the ground legs burning from the run.
The moon caught the sound of another equine and she jumped up legs shaking but as beautiful as a flower in the lunar beams of the moon.

The Lagoon was always one of Echo's favorite places to stop and think. There was room to run, water to drink, and grass to eat. There were occasionally other horses running about, but at night the stallion usually had the whole place to himself. Racing through the ocean of green, his legs stretched out beneath him, his hooves pounding into the earth as they shot him faster and faster forwards. His chest heaved, heart raced, and muscles ached, yet each second that ticked by was another blissful moment to think.
It was time for him to start looking for mares of his own. Time to put down his other collections of rocks and sticks and to think more of his future. What legacy would he leave behind? Would anyone even remember his name? He needed mares, land, foals, and something to pass on to the next generation, his next generation. But that was harder said than done. Convincing mares to leave everything they knew would be tricky, especially for one who was so ill suited to talking. Slowing his full gallop to an easy canter and then a trot, Echo snorted as he tossed his head. He was so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he didn't hear a second set of hooves come pounding through the area.
Where to begin? He'd likely set out in the morning; start bright and early. Most mares he'd seen recently were already spoken for, and he wasn't the type to chase after something he had no attachments to. No he'd start fresh, a clean slate, a new beginn- Echo's train of thought was swiftly derailed as he almost walked head on into a startled mare. Hitting the brakes, he stopped and backed up, snorting again as he looked around. She was alone? She looked scared. Perhaps lost? Pawing at the ground, his tail whipped about behind him as he quietly looked her over.
She was pretty, that much was obvious. A shimmering gray in the moonlight, an ethereal light almost seemed to come off her. She was strong, healthy; a more than adequate candidate. Already Echo could feel the need to whisk her away, to start his 'collection' with her. But was she spoken for already? Not saying a word, the paint stallion merely stared, his dark eyes soaking in her appearance. Hopefully he didn't scare her more.

Her eyes shifted from side to side her coat shining bright in the lunar beams of the moon. Her eyes danced to his and she all of a sudden became calm her body relaxing. She stood taller now and she regained her legs as she watched the stud looking at her. She reached out a soft nose touching the stud before she pulled back and pranced softly in place tossing her head looking like an angel without wings. "Are you just going to stair at me or will you tell me your name". She flashed the stud an amazing smile as the night birds sang sweet songs and the sound if the water made her look almost like a dream.her brown doe eyes danced over the stallion and he looked strong and young like herself and she found herself seeing a foal tall and strong though she would have to see what the stud would do with her young untouched pelt. The mare had only had to deal with her brother no touching or nipping and she had no scares or marks on her beautiful body. She looked at him with little to no fright left in her eyes.
" we'll my name is Lunar Beam but you can call me Luna if you want I'm sort of lost though". She looked around the muscles in her neck strong and also in her body. She rose her head and stuck out her chest she was the image of a lead mare strong but kind in many ways. She walked closer to the stud when a loud growl rippled along the pond. She looked hard at the spot where it came from and let out a grime of frustration. Why did the beast have to bother her at this moment when she finally found a stud that she liked some. She stomped at the monster and pinned her ears lunging out catching the dog on the flank sending it running for the trees. She turned back to the stud a calm little mare again as she giggled and shook her head. " I hate the stupid dogs around here they never give up do they". She even flashed a smile at him to show she was really not trying to get home. Luna was no longer worried about her brother only the stud who had showed up and now stood looking at her not a word drawing from his mouth.

She was pretty, and strong, and could take care of herself despite what she said about being 'lost', that much was apparent. Where had she gotten lost from? Echo pitied whoever that must have been. They were going to lose a gem tonight. Smirking at the young mare, he stepped forward as she smiled brightly at him, the dog's yelps echoing in the open fields. Echo. He murmured, his nose touching her's, then moving along her neck as he nibbled at her mane. My name is Echo. She was full of fire and spunk. Then and there, Echo made it certain in his mind that she would be his first. He would not leave here without her.
You're not lost, Luna. He cooed, still playing with her mane. You're with me. Pulling back, he began to circle around her. Yes, she would do wonderfully. Won't you come with me, little flower?

The studs voice caught her audits and sent her into a sort of trance as she seood watching him with large doe eyes.Did he just call her flower? She giggled and looked him in the eyes confident in her voice and movments she swung her hip into him lightly tapping his shoulder as he touched her and walked around her.Luna looked at the pond and then took a step back running a soft muzzle along his neck and flank and then back up to nuzzle his withers."Echo i would love to join but the question is do you think you can handle a mare like me?" She looked at him allowing herself to bow her neck and stand just right for the moon to make her glow. She flashed an amazing smile at him and shuddered at the lingering feeling of his touch. She wanted more of the flame that sparked through her as he touched her but she was not going to willingly tell him that.
"My brother will not be to happy to have lost me to another stud but i live to mess with him so he has no say".For some reason she could not tell this stud no like she had don to so many of the others letting them down one at a time as they would flock in to swoop her away from the stallion she once walked with. Her eyes found his again and she reached her nose out pressing it to his allowing her sent to fill the air.It was now time for mares to start vreeding and this young girl was in tip top shape to have a strong foal if she caught when breed.

He snorted at the mention of her brother, his ears flicking back as if the mere whisper of him set him ready for a fight. Let him come and try to take you from me. His deep voice rumbled. I am not afraid. No, once he had his mind set on something, there was no tearing him away from it. Come hell or high water, he would not lose his starlit mare. Reveling in every touch she returned to him, Echo already began to plan out their future. Things would have to move quickly if they were to get the best start; breeding season only last so long. Sucking in air, the stallion pawed at the ground as Luna's sweet scent filled his nose. She would more than do, but was she ready?
Circling around once more, he nipped playfully at her tail. I have but one thing to ask of you before we set out, my sweet flower. He began again, his voice lower, softer almost. Will you be the first to bare my children? The first to start my legacy? Her answer would set the great scheme of things into motion. A yes and he would have his future set in a foothold. Then would begin the search for a stable home, more mares, more foals. A great history to leave behind when his bones turned to dust. When nothing was left of him, Echo's name would still be known.
If not...well there were always other fish in the sea.

She so very much liked the fact this stud had now claimed her and now she was free from her brother and would have the chance to bare a child. His voice was that of an angel as he seemed to enjoy her touch. She watched him and stiffened only a little when his muzzle nipped at her tail softly. As the normal reaction she stepped into him his question clear in her mind and the answer not hard to say."Yes Echo i will carry your first foal with great happiness".Her voice was soft and breathless as she stepped over into him again this stallion was very handsome and one she would be true to till the day she died. The moon caught her eyes as she looked back at him a gift from the moon, a lunar angel sent for this stallion only and with this stallion was where she was ment to be.Her loyalty played over and over in her eyes.
She could see herself happily raising a strong foal for this stud nothing bothering her and no brother to tell her what to do.A smile began to spread across her maw and she became very sensitive the heat from the studs touch coursing through her body making her sent much stronger and harder to resist. Her tail lifted slightly as the soft sounds of the forest played out and her eyes never left his.

The stallion's heartbeat thrummed in his ears, the mare's scent egging him on. He would have to be quick the first time around; there were other, quieter places to be sure the next generation was set to begin. Nuzzling the glowing mare's hips before rearing up and truly claiming her as his own.
As the moments quickly passed, Echo slid off the first beauty to become a part of his collection. Nibbling at her side, he flashed an almost wicked smile before starting to slowly walk off a ways. The moon was beginning to fall back towards the horizon, and dawn would quickly be upon them. There would be time for rest and food later; the area they were in was too open, and the chance that Luna's brother might cause conflict too high. Turning back to look at the pale mare, he soaked in her sight once more. Coming, my sweet flower? They had a new life to set out upon.

Luna stood still as the stud took her as his own and she was to forever be his weather her brother came back for her or not.She was breathing a little harder than normal as the stud finished and walked past. She watched his stride even and without fault and knew if this foal was born healthy he or she would be strong and large. She stood for a moment trying to regain her body's control and her head sort of hung.As soon as the stallion she was now bonded two spoke she was by his side with not a second thought. Her eyes trained on the place she had once stood frightened and swore to herself she would not be that frightened again for now she had a baby to look forward to and if Echo chose her as lead mare she had more mares to look after. She was a little tired but the mare was strong and she stayed right at his side nuzzling his shoulder every few moments allowing him to know she was there so he did not have to look back for her.
"I will always go where you call me Echo".Her voice carried to his audits by the wind of an angel as her steps matched his with more grace then the waves of the ocean. The wind caught her long thick mane and tail causing it to flow out behind her like wings and the moon was beginning to leave causing her coat to take on a pinkish glow and her eyes to catch on fire. She watched the surroundings worried her brother would catch her walking with her new stud and pick a fight. There was nothing more Luna hated then to watch her brother harm other horses for something he claimed as his own.She sniffed only smelling the smallest amount of her brother now but not enough to worry just yet.
