Name: Valentine
Age: 3 years
Breed: Appalossa
Gender: Mare
Height: 15.6hh
Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Markings: Leopard Appalossa
Personality:As one might assume from her confident nature, Valentine is an adventurer at heart. She craves adrenaline, yearns to see everything and go everywhere that she can. She is fearless, never backing down from a challenge, even when the odds are stacked against her. She is cocky, almost arrogant. Until something or someone has well and truly beat her, she holds no doubts about her abilities. Every obstacle in her path is just another mountain to climb, another epic story to tell of. Though her imagination may run away with her sometimes, she'll stand by what she says, no matter the nay-sayers.
A born leader, Valentine feels best being the one giving orders, not the one receiving them. She tries to take charge of those around her, whether they accept her or not. She dreams someday of running her own show, of being the head of a gang of loners or a herd. Though she has a long ways to go yet, she isn't afraid of putting herself in charge when given the chance.
Once in power, however, Valentine can be quite domineering. Don't like how she does things? Then you are more than welcome to fight her for the title. To her, it's either you do what she says or you are testing her dominance. Coupled with a notoriously quick temper, almost anything can set her off on a tirade about how everyone needs to start respecting her authority. Though she actually tries to settle down before things get out of control, Valentine's temper has been known to get her into trouble.
Not that trouble is anything new to her. Always breaking rules and getting caught doing something dangerous, Valentine lets any scolding or punishment she receives roll off her back like water. She doesn't enjoy it, that is, but she knows it's only temporary. As soon as she's in the clear again, it's back to her same-old antics and shenanigans. That is not to say that she doesn't take the blame for others at times though, as well. Consistently volunteering to be a scapegoat, Valentine will take the blame for those she cares for, without hesitation, leading to her reputation being inflated.
Simply put, given all the egocentric, aggressive spazz that she can and will be, Valentine is a friendly mare. Like a social sponge, she grows when in the presence of others. She likes having many friends, and tries to make all her acquaintances into friends. Known to go out of her way to get to know someone, she puts a great value in the relationships she keeps.
History: Valentine had a simple childhood, and left her home willingly at the age of a year and a half. She doesn't talk about it, and no one ever asks. What one can tell is that life outside her family was much more difficult than she thought, and while she managed to hold her own, was humbled slightly nonetheless. Yet that was to change once she made it to Efre. The journey there was long and hard, but after what felt like months, she had made it. Coming up to the very edge of Efre, the young mare was taken aback by the sight of the land. It was serene; rolling hills and distant deserts. Such a peaceful landscape was something she had never known before.
Soon after getting into the rhythm of grazing, running, and sleeping, Valentine found that Efre had a lot more to offer. She began exploring, going a little further each day. Her courage grew by leaps and bounds, as she started to truly get a feel for the area. Though she has not dared to go to far inland yet, she has her eyes set on something a little more stable.
